In the advertising world, there are no “one size fits all” answers.
Sadly, most people think they need to “stand out” … read that “be different” … in order to be noticed. That’s why kids wear funny clothes and weird haircuts; so they will “be different” from their parents’ generation – but – if you will notice, in “being different” they all seem to start looking like each other.
If there is a secret, it is to use your advertising to “sell” your products or services. — Most advertising now days doesn’t “sell” anything … it just glorifies the advertiser.
The “key” to standing out from others in your field of endeavor is your use of “words.” — Over the years, I have often said, “Give me the right words and I can print my ad on toilet tissue and make sales.”
So … your best bet is to create an intriguing headline for your advertising and have a Unique Selling Proposition for your business, product or service.
